51st Buddhist Council
- The 1st Buddhist Council was being held
immediately after the death of Buddha - Many Scholars believe it was held around 400 BC
- The Objective to preserve the sayings of Buddha
and monastic discipline or rules. - Abhidhamma Pitaka was also believed to have been
included in 1st Buddhist Council - The Suttas were recited by Ananda, While the

62nd Buddhist Council
- The 2nd Buddhist Council was held in 4th Century
BC, in order to solve the dispute aroused between
Vajjiputtakas Monks and Yasa, a monk - The event was mainly attended by the Western and
