Soccer Formations

• After close observation of most conventional
  soccer formations, I decided to mismatch the
  different features of different formations,
  forming abstract styles of play.

3-4-3

• This formation requires competent athletes in
  midfield, specifically acting as pushing the
  attack forward and reinforcing the defense.
• A striker, supported by a right wing and left
  wing are placed well into the opposing half of
  the field, with a CAM and a a Right Mid and Left
  Mid supporting them. Together, a formidable
  offense is formed, and if played effectively
  could devastate defenses.

In Depth 3-4-3

• 3-4-3 is not everyones cup of tea, but has many
  benefits considering the strength of the offense.
  During an offensive rush, 3-4-3 flexibility than
  most other formations. Maintaining a hexagonal
  formation, the Forwards and Midfielders move
  quickly towards the goal, maintaining a close
  range. When moving back to defend, the furthest
  back line of midfielders can easily reinforce
  defenses. Meanwhile with proper utilization of
  the wings, crossing into the box is a promising
  strategy with a right wing and Striker in the
  penalty box with a CAM right behind them.

• This simulates a crossing scenario, in which the
  Left Wing crosses it into the box which in the
  Striker, who is now a Right Striker and the CAM
  who is now a Left Striker. The right wing has
  also joined the attack, a powerful offensive
  force backed by a midfield line behind them. The
  Right Mid has taken the place of the Right Wing,
  while the Left Mid remains behind the Left Mid,
  ready to either supplement the attack or run back
  to reinforce defenses is possession is lost. The
  opportunity is maximized with as much presence as
  possible within the penalty box, yet leaving a
  reliable force for defending your goal post and
  repelling the oppositions attacks with ease.

• There is another 3-4-3 formation which is not
  identical to this one.
• The reason there is a CAM but no RAM OR LAM is
  due to the fact that in this formation a CAM
  operates as a Forward in some situations, and
  also the fact that the midfield remains a
  distance from the forwards to be able to be
  brought back into defense.
• This formation requires athletic midfielders who
  will be the play makers of the game, making most
  of the important passes and keeping the pace of
  the game fast.
