a conglomerate headquartered in New York City. It
split into News Corp and 21st Century Fox in
2013. Products Some of its merchandise include

and information services. Market
Positioning News Corp has a strong market
positioning and most of its income are from
advertisements, it would therefore be at a great
loss if overall advertising expenses were
reduced. Their links to Sky TV make them
Television market leaders. However, the company
receives nearly half of its profits from outside
the united states and this eclectic exposure has
protected it from financial crisis. As at 30th
September 2014 News Corp had a total revenue of
2, 150 million and over 40,000 members of staff.
Competitors News Corp competes with a
significant number of large media
conglomerates. These include World Wrestling
Entertainment (WWE), Time Warner, CBS, and
Viacom.

terms of profit. Walt Disney was founded on
October 16 1923 by Walt Disney and Roy O. Disney,
it was first established as Americas leading
animation industry. Today the company is involved
in live action film production, television, and

by Thomas Edison, Charles Coffin, Elihu Thomson,
and Edwin Houston. Products General Electric has
a great range of products, some of them are
Universal Studios, Focus Features, Crime and
Investigation Network, The History Channel etc.
It has 307,000 employees and a revenue of
146.045 billion as at 2013 Market
Positioning General Electric operates through
eight major sub divisions power and water, oil
and gas, energy management, aviation, healthcare,
transportation, home and business solutions and
General Electric Capital. The company also trades
at attractive valuations and so far it has
resulted in positive news, GE concentrates on
businesses where it can get strong competitive

Twenty First century Fox is an American
multinational mass media corporation, it is the
worlds third largest major network. 21st
Century Fox was the result of the 2013 separation
of News Corporation, its assets include Fox
Entertainment Group, Fox Television Network and
STAR TV an Asian channel. It has a staff body of
27, 000 and as at July 2013 it had a revenue of
27. 68 billion. Twenty First Century Fox was
created as a result of splitting from News
Corporation, it finalised and executed this on
June 28 2013. It has major competitors like The
Walt Disney Company, CBS Corporation, and NBC
Universal Media. The companys marketing position
is hard to place, however it recently offered to
buy Time Warner for 80 billion. Rupert Murdoch
who is the CEO has a history of shrewdly going
after companies he wants to purchase. In this
scenario Time Warner turned down Foxs
proposition.

Fox Broadcasting Company is a subsidiary of 21st
Century Fox, it was founded by Rupert Murdoch and
Barry Diller. It has its headquarters in Los
Angeles, California. Products such as Modern
Family, Homeland, American Horror Story, Glee,
Family Guy and so on, are television series
created by FBC.

The Simpsons is an American adult animated
sitcom created by Matt Groening for the Fox
Broadcasting Company. It had its debut on
