2Dr. Rainer Gruessner was appointed Chairman of
the Department of Surgery at the University of
Arizona in 2007. He is one of the leading
transplant surgeons in the world. Educated and
trained in Europe, Asia and the United States,
Dr. Gruessner has developed many transplant
surgery techniques that continue to save lives
today.
