• What Does the TUMT Therapy Involves?
• The treatment involves inserting a special
  microwave urinary catheter into the hyperplastic
  prostatic urethra. The microwave antenna within
  the tube then emits microwaves to heat and
  destroy the surrounding prostatic tissue.
• The temperature becomes high enough inside the
  prostate to kill some of the tissue. As this part
  of the prostate heals, it shrinks, reducing the
  blockage of urine flow.
