Erica Desai is a healthcare worker. She is a
graduate of the University of North Carolina,
where she received her Bachelor's in Public
Health and her Master of Social Work. She
currently works at Duke University Medical Center
and works on a daily basis caring for cardiac
patients in the heart center. She is known for
her great empathy for other people.

Erica Desai attended the University of North
Carolina, where she received a degree in public
health , and went on to its graduate school for
her Master's. She completed that in 2014 and has
been working at Duke University Medical Center
ever since. She leads an active life outside of
work, where she enjoys painting and cooking,
singing and dancing, running and playing
volleyball, shopping, spending time with her
family and friends, traveling and watching TV
shows and she is active in her Indian culture.

Erica Desai became a healthcare worker because of
her great empathy for people. She has worked at
Duke University Medical Center since receiving
her Master of Social Work in 2014, and says that
it is an ideal job for her. Erica says, I
wanted a career with a real sense of purpose that
came from doing good things for others, because
at the end of the day you feel good about
yourself, that you did something for someone
else. She attended the University North Carolina,
where she received both her undergraduate and
graduate degrees. She is also a volunteer at BAPS
Swaminarayan Sanstha, a spiritual,
volunteer-driven organization dedicated to
improving society she also volunteers her time
to the American Heart Association and many other
organizations. Erica Desai has always had a
strong desire to do something that makes a
difference in other peoples lives and reflects
her beliefs in good deeds and helping others.
4Erica Desai - Helping People Find Help
Erica Desai has been a healthcare worker at Duke
University Medical Center since she graduated
from the University of North Carolina in 2014.
She says that the focus of her job is to help
people have better outcomes and prolong life...
She assists physicians in diagnosing and treating
cardiac and peripheral vascular disease in an
invasive procedure arena specializing in the care
of patients undergoing basic diagnostic
catheterization and interventional procedures.
But most importantly she enjoys doing something
good for others and seeing her patients leaving
with a smile. She says, I try my best to fix
hearts and not break them.
