• Automotive Application Affinity

Silicone Elastomer Chain
Silicone rubber is an elastomer (rubber like
compound) composed of silicone polymer (fumed
silica) and oxygen (with carbon, hydrogen
additives as suitable for applications). Silicone
elastomers exhibit best of both organic and
inorganic rubber properties. The inorganic part
makes the polymer very resistant to extreme
temperatures, good electrical insulation
properties, stability and chemical inertness
(non-reactive) while the organic components make
it extremely flexible. These properties allow
platinum cured silicone rubber extrusion and
molding products to be best suited for wide
variety of industrial and manufacturing
applications including automotive, aerospace,
construction, medical device, and marine to name
a few.
