treatment. Niman Ranch, as a company, only works
with sustainable, US-based family farmers and
ranchers. There is a network of these
hardworking, smart farmers and ranchers of about
700 separate operations. Every animal lives free
to roam outdoors or in deeply bedded, spacious
pens.

Niman Ranch is a committed supporter of family
farming. Niman supports a network of over 700
family farms throughout the United States. Some
of these farms are owned by families who have
been a part of the Niman Ranch network for two
generations or more. Niman sees family farmers.

owned and operated by the same family. The family
relies on the farm for their livelihood.
Therefore, family farmers have a deep
relationship with their land, their animals and
crops, and their sustainable farming practices.

Gold Standard For Humane Animal Care
Niman Ranch has worked through the years to
establish the industrys gold standard for the
humane treatment of animals. Throughout our
network of farmers in the Pacific Northwest to
the Midwest, all farms raise their livestock
according to some of the toughest standards in
the industry. There is a three-step system that
ensures that all farms within Nimans network of
over 700 family farms throughout the country.

supplier that has devoted their practices to
helping ensure that their cattle, pigs, lamb and
poultry are raised in humane conditions that are
also adherent to strict environmental
regulations. Their commitment to an all-natural
product with no antibiotics or hormones includes
the implementation of vegetarian feeds and a
suitable living environment where the animals can
engage in their natural behavior. Niman
Ranch has worked to develop the gold standard for
humane animal care and environmental
agriculture practices.  We work closely with Dr.
Temple Grandin to guarantee all our protocols
meet the strictest standards within the
industry.  Our protocols ensure that whether our
