About Us

• "Creating Liberty to Move" has been our mission
  since our founder Petra Walke laid the
  cornerstone for the Migration International Group
  (MIG) in 2009 with the first office in Sydney,
  Australia. In the meantime, MIG has grown to 4
  offices in Australia and New Zealand, further
  branches in North America and our headquarters in
  Germany.

  a home office in Sydneys Northern Beaches in
  Australia in 2008.
• Founder Petra Walke relocated several times
  between Europe, North America, New Zealand and
  Australia. As a result of her own experiences she
  was determined to rekindle the level of
  professional service clients can expect from a
  Migration Agent and from a professional Migration
  Agency.

Australian Citizenship

• Citizenship. The final stage in most migrants
  journey to Australia. With it, a passport, the
  right vote and reside, without travel
  restrictions, in Australia.
• Most migrants will typically apply for
  Citizenship by Grant, this means being a resident
  of Australia for at least four (4) years and at
  least twelve (12) months of that time, the holder
  of a permanent residency visa.
• In some instances, people apply for Citizenship
  by Birth, whereby an applicant, whose parent is
  either an Australian Citizen or Permanent
  Residency, applies on grounds of descent
  through family.
