Curtis Cripe began his professional life as an
aerospace engineer, when he began work at the Jet
Propulsion Lab in California. Dr. Curtis Cripe
is a man of distinction that holds a remarkable
number of achievements in his unique and storied
career. The project work that he was involved in
as an aerospace engineer resulted in the first
Mars landing by the Viking 1 spacecraft in the
summer of 1976. Curtis Cripe was also a
supervisor for the TRW Corporation who had
oversight on a number of software projects
including some that were executed for the United
States Department of Defense (DOD).
