Randall Palazzo is a general contractor and
vintage homebuilder who lives in the great city
of Portland, Oregon. Since the late 1980s, he
has been licensed to sell real estate in the
area and after years of doing so, he decided to
get his hands dirty and start building homes
himself. Decades later, he had compiled a crew of
construction professionals as talented as he and
they went on to become one of Portlands top
homebuilders for a handful of years.
Make-A-Wish granted 14,000 wishes last year
alone on average, one every 38 minutes. But for
every wish granted, another child is diagnosed
with a potentially qualifying condition. A child
who needs a wish. We all look forward to the day
when no more children have life-threatening
medical conditions. Until that time, Make-A-Wish
remains committed to a vision of granting a wish
to every eligible child. Because wishes make very
sick kids feel better and sometimes, when they
feel better, they get better.

A wish experience can be a game-changer for a
child with a life-threatening medical condition.
This one belief guides us in everything we do at
Make-A-Wish. It inspires us to grant wishes that
change the lives of the kids we serve. It compels
us to be creative in exceeding the expectations
of every wish kid. It drives us to make our
donated resources go as far as possible. Most of
all, it's the founding principle of our vision to
grant the wish of every eligible child.

As an active member of the Horizon Community
Church, Randall Palazzo knows what it means to
give back to others. He and the fellow members of
his church focus on an outreach scale that hits
three tiers community, national and global. In
order to maximize their reach, Horizon supports a
number of established global organizations that
have built networks of donors and volunteers all
over the world.
In 1998, the March of Dimes established its
Global Programs to bring the high global toll of
birth defects and preterm birth to the attention
of governments, policy makers and donor
organizations and to offer solutions in response.
Global Programs conducts its work through
mission alliances-organizations that share the
March of Dimes mission to improve birth outcomes,
in a targeted country or region.

America organization through the efforts of his
church. Volunteers of America is the charity
that always steps forward to help the most
vulnerable. For over 119 years, we have taken on
the most difficult tasks to help the most
