Meaning

• Botox is a drug made from a neurotoxin produced
  by the bacterium Clostridium botulinum called
  botulinum toxin.
• It is used medically to treat certain muscular
  conditions and cosmetically remove wrinkles by
  temporarily paralyzing muscles.

Requirement for Botox treatment

• Botox medicine vial.
• 28 no size insulin syringe.
• Prilox i.e. local anesthetic .
• Normal saline .
• Spirit.
• Drawing pencil.

Pre procedure formalities

• First take a sign of patient on consent form .
• Take a pictures of patient from front,right,left
  i.e. from all angles sides of normal face
  also take a pictures with telling patient to make
  wrinkles on face.
• Apply prilox cream on selected area of face
  and keep it for 40 to 45 minute.

How is the procedure performed?

• Botuilinum toxin takes up to 72 hours to take
  effect and make a noticeable difference.
• The botulinum toxin is administered by diluting
  the powder in saline (sodium chloride) and
  injecting directly into neuromuscular tissue, The
  toxin requires 24-72 hours to take effect,
  reflecting the time necessary to disrupt the
  synaptosomal process In very rare circumstances

• Some individuals may require as many as five days
  for the full effect to be observed.
• Botulinum toxin should not be used in pregnant
  or lactating women, as well as people who have
  had a previous allergic reaction to the drug or
  any of its ingredients.
• Follow up should take after 15 days.

POST PRECAUTION

• DO NOT lie down your head for long time at least
  3to 5 days.
• DO NOT USE soap and face wash after procedure at
  least 48 hour. And also not rubbing the face.
• Facial exercise should be done after treatment it
  helps to spread the medicine properly.
