1Jason Fonds Orthopedic Practice Merger
Dr. Jason Fond began practicing medicine in 2001
after studying at Albert Einstein College of
Medicine, doing his residency for orthopedic
surgery at Montefiore Medical, and his sports
medicine fellowship at Georgetown University in
Arlington, VA. It was then Dr. Jason Fond went
into private practice, and began working at Nyack
Hospital in Nyack, NY and Good Samaritan Hospital
in Suffern NY. Dr. Fond eventually becoming the
resident of the medical staff of Nyack Hospital.
2Jason Fonds Education
Dr. Jason Fond, an orthopedic surgeon and sports
medicine physician in Nanuet, NY. Born in 1969 in
New York State, Jason Fond grew up in Bergen
County, New Jersey with his family until he began
his university studies. Throughout high school,
Jason Fond was active in many clubs and sports
teams which carried over into his later
career. In 1987 at the age of 18, Jason Fond
began studying at Tufts University. Jason Fond
graduated from Tufts University in 1991,
beginning medical school directly after.
3Jason Fonds Bedside Manner
Dr. Jason Fond has had a passion for sports since
childhood. When Jason Fond was a teenager,
however, the flame for this passion was nearly
extinguished. While playing sports as a teen,
Jason Fond sustained a major injury. This
injury caused Jason Fond to undergo a spinal
fusion surgery, which served as his first major
introduction to the surgical world but from the
patients perspective. As Jason Fond grew and it
became time for him to choose a career, Jason
Fond took this youthful experience into account.
4Jason Fonds Injury
As an active child who loved playing sports, much
of Dr. Jason Fonds young life revolved around
team-based activities and physical pursuits. When
he was a child, Jason Fond participated in a
variety of sports including football, basketball,
and baseball however, an injury sustained in his
youth threatened to remove his ability to
participate in the activities he loved.
When Jason Fond was a teenager, he was badly
injured diving in a pool. Jason Fond was
concerned he may never participate in athletics
again, and that his day-to-day life would be
severely impacted. Luckily for him, and his
patients, Jason Fond was able to receive
treatments and rehabilitation that restored his
mobility.
