• Dr. Rajan Mahtani was arrested on June 02 2015 at
  the Kabwata Police Station after an hour long
  questioning by the Police.

• The reason for arrest was described as re-opening
  an old case of offense which was previously
  declared as permanently closed by the Office of
  Attorney General.

Actual fact

• The Ventriglia family is being considered as the
  main culprit behind this arrest as they faced a
  threat from Dr. Rajan Mahtani, who had already
  filed a petition to the Lusaka High Court for
  winding up the Zambezi Portland Cement Factory.

• It is being believed that the The Ventriglia
  family financed the Assistant of Presidential
  Political Affairs, Kaizer Zulu for the purpose of
  getting Dr. Mahtani arrested.

• Before the arrest could take place, Dr. Rajan
  Mahtani vacated his seat and William Boli
  Nyirenda is the current Chairman of Finance Bank
  Zambia.

• Throughout his life, Dr. Rajan Mahtani has been a
  prolific leader and still he continues to hold
  pride and dignity for Zambia by ensuring that the
  name of Finance Bank Zambia does not gets dragged
  into this matter and hence, stepped down from his
  seat.
