Surrogacy in India

• Surrogacy is when a woman agrees to carry a child
  for another couple (intended parents). In other
  words,
• Surrogacy is a form of assisted reproductive
  treatment (ART) in which a woman carries a child
  in her uterus on behalf of another person or
  couple.
• The surrogate mother agrees to give the child to
  the intended parents after the birth.

 Deciding on Surrogacy

• Surrogacy makes it possible for childless couples
  to expand their family with having genetic link
  from either one or both of the IPs.
• This is why couples go for surrogacy over
  adoption. It is a viable option for couples to
  begin their family despite having infertility
  issues or some other medical reasons for women.
• This option also gives an opportunity for gay
  couples to start family.

Choosing surrogacy

• A surrogacy arrangement is signed between
  intended parents and surrogate mother when
• A woman is unable to conceive as she may have
  fallopian tubes blocked.
• A woman may have health condition that makes
  pregnancy dangerous.
• A woman may have had hysterectomy.
• A woman may have endometriosis.
• A male partner has low sperm production.
• Single individual wish to have a child, but does
  not have a partner.

  are considering surrogacy have to go through,
  from the time to decide whether they would go
  forward with it, to choose the surrogate mother,
  the procedure involved, the fees required and the
  overall time frame. Each has these factors will
  prove beneficial if the couples are guided
  properly.

from a surrogacy arrangement include

• Clear and open communiqué between all parties
• Clear margins and practical expectations between
  all parties
• Understanding of the medical process for all the
  parties involved.
• Discussion between parties about the expenses
  including physical and medical costs.
• Minimizing risk factors medical and
  psychological screening, a stimulating life
  situation and a supportive partner.

• Calculating the time frame for couples also plays
  significant role in the overall surrogacy
  process. Time utilized for couples on researching
  options, several attempts at fertilization and
  desperate waiting for the baby to arrive all add
  up. In addition to it, you have to consider legal
  process viably otherwise the process may take
  long time. The advantage is that how long the
  tedious process is, they will eventually become
  parents.
