If you are planning a tour to China, needless to
say, the Great Wall of China is on your must
visit list. When travelling with family and
especially with children in a foreign land
challenges can be expected at any time. Here are
some tips which can be followed when going on

the year and on all the 365 days, However, the
months for getting a better view would be late
March, April, May, June, September, October and
early November. During the summer months it is
good to wear covered cloths to prevent from
getting tanned, use good sunscreen and wear hat
and sunglasses. One must carry rain gear too as
the summer season is also the rainy season in
China. From October to March there is chill in
the air and one needs to wear warm cloths.

It is best to avoid public holidays especially on
May 1-3 and October 1-7 or during weekends when
on a tour to Great wall. This is the time when
you would probably face maximum traffic and large
local crowds visiting the great wall making the
experience not very pleasing and a lot of time
would be wasted as there are long queues in the
ticket counters, lot of traffic and lot many
people visiting the Great Wall and other tourist
spots.

Travelers while travelling with family must take
care of safety measures and carry the right
things with them when touring. Among the
essentials one must wear hiking boots, carry
sticks to help climbing upward, apply sunscreen,
wear sunglasses and cap, carry bottles of water
and snacks, lip balm, pocket knife, rain gear and
first aid kit. As there are no provisions of
availing toilet facility on the hiking route, one
must use the toilet facility at the entrance of
the wall. Also one must take care of ones own
insurance and must carry all the important papers
at all times.
