About us
It was about time! Know Your Doctor Cyprus is an
online tool that finally allows all Cypriot
citizens and tourists to be able to find the
medical care that suits most to their preferences
and at the same time help other people to do the
same by sharing online their experience with a
doctor. We believe that by giving the
opportunity to patients to share their experience
and opinion to other people this will improve
healthcare in Cyprus and create a trusted

doctors. Knowyourdoctor help a patient to make
better health decisions by turning information
into knowledge. The main goal is to improve
medical care by giving the opportunity to
patients to review and rate their doctors, and by
giving doctors an affordable, objective,
non-intrusive means of documenting the quality of
care that they provide.

idea of KnowYourDoctor
KnowYourDoctor launched in mid-2015. The idea was
actually born after me and my wife have our first
child. It was about time to find a paediatrician
so we realised that we couldnt find a doctor
without a recommendation. We started asking and
searching opinions from friends and relatives on
how to find a trusted paediatrician, and each one
of them, had different opinions and comments. So,
this was the time that the brilliant question
arose Why couldnt all these suggestions be
online, so people can have a clearest idea of a
doctor? This will actually help both patients and
doctors! Patients will be able to find their
preferred doctor throughout all the information
provided on the web, and doctors will be able to
increase and develop their practice by endorsing
their profession with their profiles, awards,
distinctions and specialties and previous
experience published on the site. This could
actually create a trusted relationship between a
doctor and a patient because a patient now will
be able to a find a doctor that suits its needs,
and at the same time get to know the doctor
better through all the information that will be
available online.
