Title: Hey... Your Tire Pressure Looks A Little Low
1Hey Your Tire Pressure Looks A Little Low
2With our everyday lives it seems like all of us
are under a great deal of pressure.
3 This type of pressure can lead to stress and
stress can lead to any number of unwanted heath
problems.
4 There is one thing in our lives that thrives on
pressure and needs pressure in order to work as
effectively as possible for us and that is our
tires.
5"Hey Joe Your Tire Pressure Looks A Little Bit
Low"
6We have all heard that we should check the
pressure of our tires each time we fill up with
gas, but let's be real.
7 Have you ever been at a gas station and seen a
bunch of drivers kneeling down by their tires and
checking their tire pressure.
8 I know that I never have.
9 Most often, we check our tire pressure when a
friend or co-worker says, "Hey, I think you tire
looks like it is a little flat.
10A tire that is a little flat can be more than
just a small problem that needs to be addressed.
11 It is estimated by the National Highway Traffic
Safety Administration that underinflated tires
contribute to more than 33,000 injuries and 600
deaths each year in the United States.
12 The fact is that not checking to see if your
tires are properly inflated could literally kill
you or me.
13Another very good reason to check how much tire
pressure we have is to help us to get the best
gas mileage possible for our vehicle.
14 Have you ever tried to push a wheelbarrow that
has something heavy in it when the wheelbarrow
has a tire with low pressure.
15 It is very hard to do.
16 By simply filling the tire on the wheelbarrow
with the proper amount of tire pressure, it makes
pushing that heavily laden wheelbarrow up that
hill a heck of a lot easier.
17 The same thing holds true with our vehicles.
18We Lose Tire Pressure Every Month
19It is not uncommon for our tires to lose up to
one pound of pressure per month.
20 By simply forgetting to check the amount of air
in our tires for a few months, our engine is now
having to work harder and thus it is burning more
fuel for every mile we drive.
21If you are unsure how much tire pressure your
tires need that answer can be found on the
vehicle placard located on the driver's side
doorpost of your vehicle, inside the vehicle
owner's manual or on the glove box door.
22Be aware that if you put some sort of custom tire
on your car to replace the tires that the
manufacture put on your vehicle that the proper
amount of tire pressure may be different and you
can no longer count on the information found on
or in your vehicle.
23Once a month that is my mantra.
24 If you check your tire pressure once a month you
will be way ahead of the game.
