Chadni Chowk
3
  • As someone whose passion for food is one of the
defining factors in my life, the extensive and
wonderful selection of street food available on
offer in Chandni Chowk, one of Delhis oldest
street markets, makes this a great place to
visit. The area is an excellent destination for
any tourist wishing to indulge in authentic
    Indian food.
  • Chandni Chowk is also unique as it provides a
microcosm of Cosmopolitan India situated in one
specific area. Indians of various religions,
languages and ethnicities all work, shop and
worshipin the area in a refreshingly harmonious
    manner.

The Lotus Temple
5
  • The Lotus Temple is without a doubt one of the
most recognisable of New Delhis many incredible
landmarks. A place of worship dedicated to the
BahaI faith, the temple takes its name from the
fact that it is designed in the shape of a lotus
flower. The temple not only draws a vast number
of visitors due to the fact that it is the mother
temple of the BahaI faith on the Indian
subcontinent, but also because it is an
incredible architectural feat and so something I
would recommend to visitors of the city of all
    faiths.

6
Gandhi Smriti
7
  • The memorial museum for the Mahatma Gandhi and
a must visit for anyone who is in New Delhi or
visiting India in general. The museum is situated
on the location in which Gandhi spent the last
144 days of his life and commemorates his immense
sacrifice and contribution to the establishment
of an independent India. The complex is home to
the Eternal Gandhi Multimedia Museum and the
Martyrs Column, which marks the exact spot on
    which Gandhi was assassinated.
