Neuroplasticity - You Teach An Old Dog New Tricks
  • I know almost anything can be a fear to someone
but when I came across the fear of beards I had
to stop for a second because I almost found this
one too compelling to just simply browse through.
This is an actual fear that people have. I
immediately felt the need to research this new
found fear right away to further educate myself
as to what the fear is derived from or for what
reason people happen to find beards frightening.
The first thing I learned about this fear is its
name. Pogonophobia is the word for the fear of
beards. Unfortunately after doing quite a bit of
research I wasn't able to find a good source for
actually going into detail about what causes
Pogonophobia and its effects on those of female
or male origin. As I am assuming with males it
will make them very apt to shaving at every
opportunity but I wonder if they are frightened
when doing so. Or if Pogonophobia actually
contributes or is relative to a fear of hair.
There are unfortunately again many connections
    from some fears to others.

2
  • Other fears can be completely consuming of one's
life. It really depends on the extent of the fear
itself and just how much the individual is
subject to that particular fear. I am not sure
how one would be best off dealing with
Pogonophobia or overcoming their fear of bears.
Perhaps to read or educate yourself about hair
growth on one's face may be a start. Or even they
could slowly subject themselves to others beards
to slowly kind of implement them and learn to
control their fear. Sara comes from a household
of working parents who normally don't get home
until around dinner time. After school she heads
home with good intentions of completing her
homework but often gets sidetracked or bored,
opting for talking on the phone, texting,
watching television or eating junk food. Her
obsession with eating has lead to weight gain
which has done a number on her self esteem.

3
  • One day at school Sara's best girl friend
suggested that she try diet pills to control her
seemingly unmanageable weight gain. She figured
it would be worth a try. The diet pills were also
stimulants which made her feel alive for the
first time in a long time. Sara's euphoria is
making her consider the use of other drugs to
achieve an even greater sense of awareness and
happiness. This feeling of escapism has lead Sara
to rethink her commitment to school, after all
she can't seem to excel no matter how hard she
tries. After all if she drops out she will be
able to find more time for Johnny. The teenage
years can be quite challenging for both teens and
their parents. Teenagers are faced with a whole
new set of responsibilities that weren't apparent
during their adolescent years. Usually the
individual suffers from a variety of fears
sometimes non-relating or sometimes they all
derive from the same basic things.

  • Facebeast Review The work required for high
school is much more demanding and requires
    additional organizational skills. Their social
calendars are much different due to less parental
supervision. For the most part all variables in
the lives of teenage girls with

difficulty handling the demands of their new
environment. While many boys their age have
    received treatment for inattention, impulsivity,
and/or hyperactivity, most girls go undiagnosed
leading to a snowball effect of potentially
problematic symptoms. Panic Away Review In
summary, when discussing the attention deficit
hyperactivity disorder teenage girl it is
important to know the common symptoms of and find
solutions before the condition causes their lives
to spiral out of control. Remember, the

    symptoms of are inattention/distractibility,
impulsivity, and in a few cases hyperactivity. It
is also noteworthy to point out that
hyperactivity in teenage girls manifests itself
in the form of excessive talking rather than
    conventional hyperactive behaviors.
