• In India, by regulation gestational surrogacy is
  a permitted medical service to help conceive and
  for the surrogate mother to carry and deliver
  baby for commissioning or intended parents.

  a surrogacy/Medical visa looking for an
  infertility treatment.
• The surrogate baby is genetically connected to
  atleast one of the commissioning parents.

• The embryos formed by IVF are tested by PGD
  (Pre-implantation genetic diagnosis) method for
  any inherited deformity if indicated.
• The embryos are then transferred into the uterus
  of the surrogate mother.

• The surrogate mother acts as a healthy carrier of
  pregnancy and she is in no way genetically
  related to the surrogate child to whom she would
  give birth.
• However, the surrogate mother never claims to be
  the mother of the baby born.
• The birth certificate carries the name of just
