• Samir Karnik, an eminent film director, producer
  and screen writer of Hindi movies, made his
  directorial debut in the year 2004 with the film,
  Kyun Ho Gaya Na. His other vital creations that
  was the result of his creative excellence were
  Heroes, Nanhe Jaisalmer, Yamla Pagla Deewana and
  Chaar Din ki Chandni. His most of the movies have
  Punjabi backdrop, as he is quite fascinated by
  the Punjabi culture.
• Born to a Maharastrian family, Samir Karnik is
  extremely fond of Punjabi culture, food and their
  fondness for people. It is his love and regards
  for the culture that well reflects in most of his
  movies, be it in the song, dialogue, casting and
  the presentation of the movies. The influence of
  Punjabi culture can be experienced in different
  aspect of his film making.

• He has come a long way in the film industry,
  right from assisting ace director Vidhu Vinod
  Chopra in Kareeb to shooting several documentary
  films on Tanzania region to working as station
  manager in Dar- es- Salaam television station to
  directing various television commercials for
  Africa region, the man has fulfil his every
  creative desire with his utmost talent and
  skills.
• Samir Karnik return to Mumbai in the year 2002 to
  start his production house naming Top Angle
  Productions. The idea behind setting up his
  production house was to entertain the audience
  with top quality cinema. With Nanhe Jaisalmer
  winning award at Chicago film festival and making
  entry into Cannes film festivals and Yamla Pagla
  Deewana winning the heart of audience with his
  romantic comedy, he has definitely tasted both
