Introduction
  • IFSC (Indian Financial System code) is the
    alphanumeric 11 character code provided by the
    RBI(Reserve Bank Of India) to all banks and their
    branches.
  • Bank IFSC code is the unique code for
    representing the branches of all banks in India.
  • First four character of IFSC code representing
    the bank and it is common for all branches of
    particular banks
  • IFSC code is important during the EFT( Electronic
    Fund Transfer)

    like NEFT, RTGS and IMPS.
  • BOFA0MM6205- Bank of America- Mumbai branch. In
    this the first Four Digits BOFA represent the
    Bank of America and the fifth letter is zero(0)
  • The last 6 letters are vary for each and every
    branches of Bank of America.
