WHAT ARE VARICOSE VEINS ?

• Have you seen those thickened veins, entangling
  each other on someones legs? Are they making
  your beautiful legs shabby? Well, those veins are
  normally known as varicose veins. The word
  varicose is derived from Latin word varix
  that means twisted. Nowadays, varicose veins are
  a common problem and 1 out of 2 people mostly
  over the age of fifty are affected with this
  condition.
• It is very easy to recognize varicose veins due
  to their appearance. They are enlarged,
  entangled, swollen and palpable on the skin
  surface. Varicose veins are blue or purple in
  color and are most often found on the inside the
  legs and calf often. They originate from several
  different systems, including the greater
  saphenous vein, the short saphenous vein, the
  anterior lateral branch or the high extension
  branch.

SYMPTOMS OF VARICOSE VEINS

SPIDER VEINS

• It is often assumed that Spider veins are
  synonymous with varicose veins. However, there is
  a difference between the two. Spider veins are
  red, blue and purple in color. They appear mostly
  on face, calf, thighs, ankle and in very few
  cases on chest and neck. They begin as tiny
  capillaries and appear as blue or red squiggles
  and sometimes even as starburst clusters or
  spider webs.
• Women are more likely to get affected by spider
  veins than men due to various reasons in which
  pregnancy is the key reason. However, it causes
