Deciding The Career
When someone is researching different career
paths, it's important to first understand some of
the basic requirements expected within a
respective profession for them. One professional
path that some choose to follow is that of the
legal system. Those deciding to enter this field

Becoming a lawyer takes a lot of hard work and
dedication. They need to first get accepted
into law school and then get through law school.
After completing their degree, they must then
pass the Bar exam. Once out of school, a
lawyers practical experience begins.

Litigation
One of the primary functions of a lawyer is the
litigation process. A litigation strategy is a
plan of action taken by one party of a lawsuit
and is intend to resolve the case in their favor.
The goal is often to win the verdict in a case,
however sometimes it may be more expansive.
Winning a case can result in setting a new legal
precedent, or in remolding the public's opinion
about a social issue.

Educating From Good Schools
Lawyers that are able to utilize advanced
planning concepts, such as the Boyd Loop and
Maneuver, often have an edge over their
competition. Some lawyers are not trained in
these concepts, mainly because it was not part of
their curriculum in law school. That's why
schools, such as Stanford University Law School,
give their students an edge over the competition.
They not only educate their soon to be law
professional, but also give them plenty of
hands-on opportunities to flew their new legal
skills. Stanford is responsible for creating some
of the top lawyers in the country, even some of
the Supreme Court Justices.

Daniel Chammas
Daniel Chammas is a well-versed legal
professional who has more than 15 years of
experience in the practice of law. Currently, he
serves as partner at Venable LLP, working in
litigation. He began his career at McDermott,
Will, and Emery after graduating from Stanford
Law School in 1999. He served as partner while
working at the first law firm as well.
