The 25 year career of Dr. Theodora Stolz is based
in humble beginnings. An orphan from Greece,
Theodora came to Brooklyn NY as a child, and was
adopted by parents of equally humble means.
Social unrest, race riots and observed drug
abuse, and the privation of her young years, did
not, however, kill her dream.

People interactions were more important to me
than money, but I came from a background where no
one was educated and no one understood my
aspirations. I was told I should get married,
and forget about the hippie psychologist. Dr.
Stolz defied the odds of stereotypes and old
world ideas, to live out her dream of becoming a
psychologist.
