Interrogative its use in English Grammar

• The interrogative adverbs why, where, how, when
  are used at the beginning of a question.
• These questions can be answered with a sentence
  or a prepositional phrase.
• After an interrogative adverb in a question, you
  must invert the subject and verb so that the verb
  comes first.
• Example
• Why are you so late? There was a lot of traffic.
• Where is my passport? In the drawer.

How to Use Prepositions?

• The prepositions are used to link nouns, pronouns
  or phrases to other words in sentence.
• The word or phrase that the preposition
  introduces is called the object of the
  preposition
• A preposition is used to indicate the temporal or
  logical relationship between object rest of the

• Examples
• The pencil is ON the desk.
• The pencil is BENEATH the desk.
