• HSC students will be anxiously waiting for the
  HSC results and ATAR results during the month of
  December before the Christmas, New Year and
  Victorian school holidays 2016 vacation gets
  near. Here are some key dates for HSC results and
  Atar calculator which students should remember to
  get their results online as soon as possible.

• Generally, the ATAR results and HSC results are
  declared in the month of December every year by
  the University Admission Centre. The exact dates
  are declared in prior.
• NSW HSC results date 16th December 2015,
  Wednesday
• ACT HSC result date 15th December 2015, Tuesday
• ATAR result date 17th December 2015, Thursday
  9AM
• ATAR Advice Notices posting date 18th December
  2015, Friday
• The admissions in Australian Territory and New
  South Wales are conducted mostly by the top
  universities on basis of ATAR scores.

• Key Dates for UAC Undergraduate Admissions

• UAC administers the admission process centrally
  in Australia by collaborating with the
  participating Universities. The applications are
  received and handled by UAC or University
  Admission Centre after it releases ATAR results
  on its website. UAC will be declaring the ATAR
  results on 17th of December 2015 during this year.

• Here are some significant last dates pertaining
  to the main round of the UAC undergraduate
  admissions.
• Apply and pay by 4th December 2015, Friday
• Change subject or university preferences by 6th
  January 2015, Wednesday
• Necessary documents to be submitted by 4.30 PM
  on 15th January 2016
• Offers for admissions posted on site 20th
  January 2015, Wednesday

• Reputed universities keep their ATAR cut off
  high. While the less ranking universities give
  admissions on lower ATAR too. The admissions to
  various degree programs also depend on the ATAR
  required check this for that specific course.

• ATAR results are used as criteria to give
  admissions to the HSC students by Universities to
  various courses. However, Queensland still
  follows its Overall Position system instead of
  ATAR to give admissions to the undergraduate
  students. Approximate ATAR can be estimated using
  online ATAR calculators or manually through ATAR
  calculation method.
