Enlightenment
The Keys to Spiritual
2
1 - Be Present in the Moment
  • "Wherever you are, be all there"
  • - Jim Elliot
  • Whatever you are doing, do just that. If you are
cutting vegetables, just cut vegetables. If you
are driving your car, just drive your car. Don't
allow your thoughts to take you anywhere other
than the present. That "thing" that happened
yesterday and that "thing" that might happen
tomorrow are just thoughts. Unless you're in
physical pain, more than likely those things
    aren't really affecting you now.

Being present will help you to

2 - Learn to Let Go
  • "The most difficult aspect of moving on is
accepting that the other person already
    did." - Faraaz Kazi
  • The easiest way to get over the past is to stop
thinking about it. Thoughts are one of the things
in life that you can learn to control. If you
aren't thinking about it, it doesn't exist. You
don't have to forget how someone wronged you, but
you dont have to spend the rest of your life
dwelling on the pain they caused either.

Letting go will make it easier to

3 Become the Observer
  • "You don't have a soul. You are a soul. You have
    a body."
  • - C. S. Lewis
  • Your thoughts and feelings are NOT you. You are
the one who notices the way they make you feel
the one who hears the voice in your head. Learn
to listen to that voice, feel the feelings and
simply observe your thoughts. The more you
practice this, the more you will be able to
disengage from life's discomforts and simply
    watch the show.

7
After becoming the observer, it's time to
8
4 Notice Your Ego
  • "Starve your ego, feed your soul"
  • - unknown
  • As you learn to be more of an observer, you will
be better equipped to recognize your ego. You
will notice the many masks, constructed by your
ego, which have falsely defined you. Eventually,
you will peel these masks off, shed your
false-self, and unveil the real you.

9
Once your ego is under control, you will be free
to
10
5 Surrender
  • "Surrender to what is. Let go of what was. Have
    faith in what will be."
  • - Sonia Ricotti
  • To surrender in this instance does not mean to
fail, but to accept what is. If you dont like
something, change it. If you can't change it,
learn to accept it. When you surrender, it's
easier to change your perception of what's going.
You will be more in-tune and able to learn the
lessons that life is trying to teach you.

Which will ultimately lead you to

Spiritual Enlightenment
  • "Enlightenment is not a change into something
better or more, but a simple recognition of who
    we truly, already are."
  • - unknown
  • Remember that true spiritual enlightenment is not
a destination, but a state of mind that you adopt
while on your journey through this life. It's
finding out how to learn lessons instead of being
the victim of circumstance. It's discovering who
you truly are and embracing it, expressing it.

13
  • Spiritual enlightenment isn't something one
typically pursues just for fun. It's likely that
something profound happened. You felt something
something new, something special. You want to
know what that "thing" was and you want to learn
    how to feel it again.
  • This means youve found your path and the more
you learn, the closer you are to becoming
spiritually enlightened. You are one step closer
to peace, to happiness, and a greater
understanding of your existence. As you are no
longer cursed with the burden of judgment, you
become free to objectively view the world around
you instead of giving everything a label. You
begin to feel connected with everything and
everyone that once felt foreign or distant. You
feel the oneness and begin to understand what it
    truly means to be -
