3When you're a startup, donating money to
charitable organizations and philanthropic causes
can present a challenge even a well-funded
startup must fight for every dollar and stretch
every penny. Even still, we believe we have a
duty to give back to the world, and so the
challenge becomes one of creativity rather than
finance. If giving a significant amount of money
is untenable, we asked ourselves, "what can we do
instead? Nobody delivers websites as fast and
as securely as we do. So, starting on Wednesday,
November 18th Instart Logic will offer its
application delivery platform at no cost to small
501(c)(3) charitable organizations. We want to
help charitable organizations spread the word of
their cause, encourage people to donate, and do
so with a better website experience. In the
e-commerce space, load times are directly
correlated with user engagement and online
purchases. Despite online donations only
accounting for 6.7 of all charitable giving in
2014, that number has been steadily growing and
is projected to grow by 13 this year. While
donating online is different than shopping
online, we believe that a better user experience
will increase the likelihood that a person
chooses to donate online or otherwise and may
even increase their donation amount. Web
performance KPIs such as page load time, start
render, and time to first byte all play an
important role in the operational success of any
website, and its no different for charitable
ones.

customers so that donating or volunteering can be
