On the National Youth Day to be celebrated on
12th Jan, several activities such as adventure
sports, seminars and pep talks will be arranged
across the country. These events will help
impart skill training amongst the young people of
India, says Vaikundarajan.

National Youth Day is celebrated in honour of
Swami Vivekanandas birth anniversary. This year,
the government will be focusing on the theme of
youth for skill, development and harmony, informs
Vaikundarajan. The biggest event will be
arranged for in Chhattisgarh. The event will be
organized by Union Ministry of Youth Affairs and
Sports. he adds. The 5-day fest will be be
inaugurated by Union minister Nitin Gadkari.

The Indian Army paratroopers will also
participate in this fest that is expected to see
6000 young audience from across India.

In addition, the tourism ministry will be
launching Prayatak Mitra to be deployed in 13
cities visited by pilgrims. In Mangalore,
Ramakrishna Mission will be organising a seminar
for youngsters on India of Swami Vivekananda's
dream and the role of youth.
