Title: Teen Drivers
1I remember when I was a teen and I was close to
getting to take drivers education.
2I was so excited.
3I wasnt excited because this would be extra
school work, but what happened after drivers
education.
4Having to take drivers education was just a small
step in getting my drivers license.
5A teenage driver with a provisional drivers
license has a couple of restrictions.
6First restriction is you are not allowed to drive
between midnight and five in the morning.
7The main reason behind this restriction is
because young drivers are considered more
dangerous, so it is best to not let them drive
late at night to protect other drivers.
8Only family members are allowed to ride in the
vehicle during the first six months of your
provisional license.
9After the first six months has passed you are
allowed one passenger, who is not a family
member, to ride in the vehicle you are driving.
10Once you have had your license for one year you
are allowed up to three passengers, who are under
the age of twenty-one and who are not family
members to ride in the vehicle you are driving.
11In order to obtain your provisional license or
permit you must be at least fifteen years old and
under eighteen.
12Once a young driver has received his or her
drivers permit, they must follow the restrictions
or they could lose their license.
13All traffic rules must be followed at all times.
14You must not have an accident while driving.
15In order to drive you must have a parent, spouse,
guardian, or an adult twenty-five years or older,
who has a valid drivers license in the same
state.
16Finally, you must have your provisional drivers
license for a minimum of six months before you
can take your exam to get your actual drivers
license.
17Teen drivers who are looking to get their
drivers license must be at least sixteen years
of age.
18Also, you must have held your permit in the same
state for at least one year.
19Younger teenage drivers must also complete a
drivers education class also referred to as
Drivers Ed.
20There must also be six hours of completed
professional driver training by selecting one of
many Texas Driving Schools.
21The final requirement is to have 50 hours of
completed practice time with an adult that is
twenty-five years of age or older.
22The adult must sign off and log all fifty hours
of time and then of those fifty hours must be
done during the night.
23Every day there are many new young drivers that
come onto the roads for the first time.
24With that many new drivers every day, there is
always someone who is inexperienced on the road.
25So whether you are old or young it is best to
keep calm and follow the traffic laws.
26If you can keep a good driving record throughout
your time learning you can save money on
insurance and maybe even get a job opportunity
that otherwise may not have been available to you
before.
