• As India is also an integral part of United
  Nations, it has been celebrating International
  Womens day since 1975, when the first date was
  declared by UNO.

A humorous approach which most mens carry is
that, they are superior in all aspects of life
than a woman. Are you one among them? Are you
still neglecting the fact that women are equal to
men?

• But, we need to ask ourselves if we are
  celebrating this day without understanding the
  actual significance of it?

Kalpana Chawla
She was the first Indian lady to cross the sky.
She achieved this milestone in the year 1997, as
she stepped into the space. It was a moment of
pride for her and Indians. Though she is not with
us anymore, she will always be remembered for her
talent and accomplishments.

Neerja Bhanot
To have courage for saving several lives only you
need to be human, this is what was proved by
Neerja Bhanot. September 5th 1986, the Pan Am 73
was hijacked, where she was the flight attendant.
She showed her bravery by rescuing 39 American
passengers, finally sacrificing her own life.
