Scott Raitt founded Connekt, LLC, a full service
engineering design firm, with over 33 years of
progressive and diversified experience in
commercial and military electro-mechanical
product design and development. He has
successfully provided Mechanical Engineering
design services for the medical, automotive,
aerospace and consumer product industries. He has
a proven track record taking a concept and
creating an innovative design solutions. Some of
the processes he excels at are plastic and rubber
injection molding, metal injection molding (MIM),
reaction injection molding (RIM), rotational

2D to 3D CAD Modeling
When it comes using CAD, there are two general
methods, 2D drafting and 3D modeling. But in the
field of modern industrial design, 3D modeling is
growing in popularity among designers. Compared
with 2D drafting, it is more visual and proves to
be easier to edit or modify. In our work,
however, we sometimes need to use 2D drawings.
So, for many designers the concern is how to
quickly convert 2D drawings to 3D models.
