• Yes it is correct that dry items works best, but
  you can also do wet items. The trick is to wait
  for it to pull a vacuum and once it engages to
  start sealing apply more pressure across the area
  of the heated element. Although it says handsfree
  when the green light is lit, i find that every
  seal i make with pressure across the heading
  elements
