When will my baby sleep through the night?

• As a rule of thumb a baby never sleeps soundly
  through the night and will get up in the middle
  of the night and either cry to rouse you or not
  but they will wake up. However if they are awake
  at night then instead of cuddling them to your
  chest lay them on a crib so that they learn to
  fall asleep on their own.

Why is my baby crying for so long?

• There could be many reasons as to why a baby is
  crying. Either he/she is hungry or wants to be
  held or could have soiled their diapers. If none
  of the above options work out and the crying
  persists for prolonged periods then it may be
  time for you to consult a pediatrician, as your
  child may be sick.
