ABOUT SLEEP CLINIC
There are more bricks and mortar or
hospital-based sleep clinics in Sydney than in
any other region in Australia. Unfortunately,
they all share one common disadvantage Patients
surrounding areas, who need a diagnostic sleep,
study (polysomnogram) often face lengthy waiting
lists for a bed at traditional sleep labs. Then
there are limited options for when their
diagnostic sleep study can be performed. In some
cases, sleep studies are conducted during the day
in order to maximise the use of each room in the
sleep lab - which obviously impacts on the
patients quality of sleep and consequent
accuracy and reliability of the study

IN-HOME SLEEP STUDY

• An in-home sleep study with Sleep Clinic Services
  is a full diagnostic study, not just a screening
  device (which is not recognised by Sleep
  Physicians nor paid for by Medicare). The
  diagnostic technology records a wide range of
  sleep factors, including
• Heart activity
• Brain Activity
• Blood oxygen levels
• Breathing patterns
• Number of stoppages
• Sleeping positions
• Limb movements, and much more

SLEEP THERAPIST 
Sleep Therapist is also responsible for getting
your diagnostic sleep study equipment to you and
then ensuring the equipment is fitted correctly
so your data is properly recorded.  The following
morning, the recorded data will be downloaded and
sent to a team of qualified sleep scientists and
specialist sleep physicians for analysis. some of
these treatments can also be provided in the
comfort, convenience and privacy of your home -
at a time that suits you.

DIAGNOSTIC SLEEP STUDY 

• Refurbishment of diagnostic equipment
• Replacement of consumables such as tubes,
  nasal cannulas, etc
• Technical configuration of equipment for your
  personal sleep study
• Delivery costs to and from your residence (other
  in-home providers require you travel to them for
  fitting)
• Sleep data download and analysis by a
  professional Sleep Physician (other's require you
  visit and pay Sleep Physician costs,) and
• A one-on-one telephone consultation with your
  Sleep Therapist at a time convenient to you
  (after hours if necessary) who will explain your
  results and help you understand the Sleep
  Physician's recommendations, while answering any
  questions you may have.
