  • Early Slot machine developed by Sittman and Pitt
    of Brooklyn, New York, U.S.
  • It used to comprise of five drums with a total of
    50 card faces.
  • It was based on the game of Poker.

Between 1887 and 1895
  • Simpler Slot Machine eveloped by Charles Fey of
    San Francisco, California, U.S.
  • It used automatic mechanism of operation
  • It comprised of three spinning reels with five
    symbols namely, horseshoes, diamonds, spades,
    hearts, and a Liberty Bell.

  • It was an upgraded version of High Hand draw
    poker machine, again manufactured by Bally, in
    early 1940s.

  • First true video slot machine was developed.
  • It was manufactured in Kearny Mesa, CA by the Las
    Vegas based Fortune Coin Co.
  • It used a modified 19-inch (48 cm) Sony Trinitron
    color receiver for the display and logic boards
    for all slot machine functions.

  • The first American video slot machine was to
    offer a "second screen" bonus round in any slot
    game.
  • It was called Reel 'Em In
