Ancient Wonder - Jejuri

• Jejuri town lies to the southeast of the Pune
  city of Maharashtra.
• The town is known for being the venue of one of
  the revered temples in the state, known as the
  Khandobachi Jejuri dedicated to Khandoba, also
  known as Mhalsakant or Malhari Martand.
• Along with Khandoba Temple, the other places to
  visit in Jejuri are also popular among the
  visitors. Turmeric is considered sacred at
  Jejuri temple and this splash of yellow along
  with the red of kumkum makes this temple a riot
  of colours.

• Jejuri has also been a historically important
  place as Shivaji met his father Shahaji here
  after a long period. There is also a museum
  kind of setup having statues describing this
  meeting.
• You should visit the temple during morning. If
  you want to walk from New Jejuri temple to Juna
  gad temple then also there is a path from
  mountains.
• Jejuri has lime(mineral) deposits but the Jejuri
  Tourism is famous as a pilgrimage centre for
  devotees all over the world.
