Option 2 Recover WhatsApp Messages from Older
Backup
WhatsApp allows you to create a munual backup
from WhatsApp gt Menu Button gt Settings gt Chat
Settings gt Back up chats. Step 1 Navigate to
the WhatsApp Database folder and decide which
backup file you want to restore. Step 2 Rename
that file from msgstore-YYYY-MM-DD.1.db.crypt8
to msgstore.db.crypt8. Step 3 Uninstall and
reinstall WhatsApp, choose Restore when
prompted, you will be able to see your restored
messages.
