Title: Shane Lowney Returns to His Hometown

1
Shane Lowney Returns to His Hometown
Working at a local engineering firm in his
hometown of Tampa, Florida in the United States,
Shane Lowney has been a mechanical engineer for
10 years. Lowney is married to Christine, who he
met when he was attending school at the Florida
Institute of Technology in Melbourne, Florida.
Upon earning his Bachelors Degree in Mechanical
Engineering, Lowney secured his Engineering
license. Shane and Christine Lowney live and
work in Tampa, Florida in the United States,
where Shane was born in 1980.

Shane Lowney Interest in Aviation Sparked at FIT
Shane Lowney holds his pilots license and flies
a Cessna 182 frequently. Lowneys passion for
aviation may have been sparked by his enrollment
at Florida Institute of Technology, one of the
few universities which offer an aviation degree.
75 miles from Orlando, Florida Tech was founded
as Brevard Engineering College in 1958. The
student body on campus in 2013 numbered 4, 633,
equally divided between graduate and
undergraduate students focusing primarily on
engineering and the sciences.

Shane Lowney Licensed Pilot
Shane Lowney enrolled in The Florida Institute of
Technology in Melbourne, Florida of the United
States to study engineering. FIT is also one of
only a few universities to offer an aviation
degree, which no doubt influenced Lowneys
interest in getting a pilots license and
enjoying flying today in his Cessna 182. Lowney
graduated from Florida Institute of Technology
with a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical
Engineering, and works today out of Tampa,
Florida for a local engineering firm.

Shane Lowney Physics and Materials Science
Studies
As a mechanical engineer Shane Lowney applies
principles of engineering, physics and materials
science in his work of analyzing, designing,
manufacturing and maintaining different types of
mechanical systems. The oldest and most
practical of engineering applications, Lowneys
chosen profession of mechanical engineering
concerns itself with the operation of machinery
in its broadest form. Shane Lowney learned the
core concepts of engineering while studying at
Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne,
Florida in the United States.
