The purchase of medicinal cannabis in Illinois is
restricted to individuals who have been approved
for an Illinois Medical Cannabis Qualifying
Patient Registry Identification Card.

Under the Compassionate Use of Medical Cannabis
Pilot Program Act, this includes qualified
patients and their caregivers.

To be a registered qualified patient, you must
meet the following requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must be a legal resident of the state of
Illinois with proof of residency
Must have been diagnosed by a bona fide
physician as having a debilitating medical
condition and written certification with
their professional suggestion for the use of
medical cannabis.
Must have been approved by the Illinois
Department of Public Health and issued a
registry identification card
