Title: What Are the Common Symptoms of Golfer’s Elbow?

1
What Are the Common Symptoms of Golfers Elbow?
2
Most people often mistake golfers elbow for
tennis elbow. One reason for this is that golfers
elbow symptoms are quite similar with those of
tennis elbow. Sufferers experience pain in their
elbow that often spreads to other parts of the
arm. However, there are certain things that make
them quite different from each other. Lets take
a look at what happens when you have golfers
elbow.
3
What Are the Symptoms of Golfers
Elbow? Golfers elbow, or medial epicondylitis,
is one of the most common causes of medial elbow
pain. If is generally caused by overusing the
muscles in your arm, forearm, or hand. If youre
afflicted with this condition, you will
experience pain when performing tasks that
require you to grip objects. You may also
experience pain and tenderness in the inner said
of your elbow when the muscles of the affected
arm are stretched. Sometimes, they can be felt
along the inner side of your forearm and neck.
4
In certain occasions, your elbows will feel stiff
and it hurts to make a fist. You may also feel
weakness in your hands and wrists. The feeling of
numbness or tingling, which could spread to one
or more fingers (particularly the pinky and ring
finger), is also a common symptom amongst people
with golfers elbow.
5
Symptoms may appear gradually. However, there are
instances where the pain in your elbow will just
come out of nowhere and catch you by surprise.
Symptoms may get worse when you continue to use
the affected arm, so it would be wise to refrain
from doing the activities that caused the injury
toprevent your golfers elbow from getting worse.
6
Getting a Golfers Elbow Test Proper diagnosis
is the key to getting the right treatment. This
is why at the onset of pain, you should consult
your doctor and undergo a test as soon as
possible. This way, you can be sure that the
symptoms you are experiencing are caused by
golfers elbow and not by other medical
conditions such as tennis elbow or bone fracture.
7
Golfers elbow is clinically diagnosed by a
physiotherapist or a doctor. The doctor will
usually ask about your injury history and perform
clinical tests to confirm your condition. He or
she may also encourage you to have an ultrasound
or MRI scan to determine if there are tear or
inflammation in your elbow tendons.
8
After the golfers elbow test, its best to get
treatment immediately because according to
experts, golfers elbow better responds to
treatment when the symptoms are just manifesting
themselves.
