    are used in the oil industry.
  • He also knows that it is important to bond with
    his clients if he wants them to trust him and
    continue to come to him with all their ship needs.

Discuss Goals
  • The better you know your clients and their goals,
    the better you can assist them.
  • Talk to your clients about their plans for the
    future and their goals for their company.
  • Be sure to discuss both long-term and short-term
    goals and what you can do to reach those goals in
    a timely manner.

Solve Problems
When you work closely with a client you will need
to share any problems that occur during your
business relationship. Discuss these problems and
work together to find ways to solve and move past
them.

Get Personal
  • If you have time and your clients are willing,
    dont be afraid to get to know them on a personal
    level. You may go to play a few rounds of golf
    together or even go to lunch together.
  • Just because you have a professional relationship
    with your clients doesnt mean you cant have a
    personal one with them as well.
