1 Randall Shelton Has Worked With Many
Prestigious Universities and Colleges in the
United States
2- The 2015 University Administrator of the Year,
Randall Shelton holds more than three decades of
experience in higher education auxiliary
operations and business development. He is the
former Assistant Vice President of Auxiliary
Operations for Kennesaw State University (KSU).
In his successful career so far, he has worked
with many prestigious Universities and Colleges
in the United States.
3- Randall got his professional start in the 1980s
as a senior food service coordinator, purchasing
specialist, and manager of food services with
Oklahoma State University in Stillwater,
Oklahoma.
4- Subsequently, he directed housing and/or food
services for Wichita State University in Wichita,
Kansas. His areas of responsibility here included
an upscale full-service cafeteria and deli,
branded fast food concepts, catering department,
administrative office functions. -
5- Randall Shelton also managed a small private
construction business in the Wichita market for
one year (1992-1993). Serving as a consultant and
contractor, he successfully handled two
restaurant projects. Both the projects smoothly
moved from initial concept through start-up to
ongoing operation.
6 After gaining experience as a consultant and
contractor for a year, he joined Georgetown
College in Georgetown, Kentucky, as the Director
of Dining Services. Here, he worked with 9
supervisory personnel overseeing up to 90 skilled
staff. His Operational areas included Student
dining hall, a bakery, 4 fast food outlets,
catering services, various concessions, the
Cincinnati Bengals Pro Football Training Camp, a
business/professional conference center, a
historic inn conference center.
7 Next, Randall Shelton worked at Ohio
University as the Director of Housing and Food
Services from 1998 to 2005. His accomplishments
at Ohio University include developing a long-term
master plan that led to the complete renovation
of 3 dining areas and 4 residence halls. Over a
period of 6 years, he increased the department
revenue from 38 million to 52 million.
8 Later, Randall served as the President and CEO
of LEAB Enterprises, LLC, an Athens based
management and consulting firm serving the retail
foodservice, college, and University industries.
After working here for four years, he moved on to
work with Northeastern State University,
Tahlequah, OK as the Director of Auxiliary
Services.
