Title: Baby Boomers – The New Entrepreneurs
1Baby Boomers The New Entrepreneurs
2Brett McFall - Baby Boomers
According to HSBC research into retirement
trends, Australians expect their savings to last
just 11 out of 21 years in retirement, even if
they reduce their living expenses by up to one
third.

These are not great statistics for the large
amount of baby boomers hitting retirement age
many are now looking for ways other than national
superannuation to make sure they have enough to
see them through post-employment.

Brett McFall, internet marketing expert
best-selling author, has definitely noticed an
increase in over 60s showing interest in
learning how to make money online. In fact, to
cope with demand, he's just opened Australia's
first school of internet marketing.
5 Brett McFall
"I've definitely seen a change in my clientele
recently," says McFall. "More baby boomers are
coming through my door deciding that a second
income is going to be necessary to get them
through retirement comfortably.
6 Brett McFall
They realise that inadequate planning, a
preference for short-term saving, and an
underestimation of the cost requirements in later
life has meant they are going to have a shortfall
if they don't start looking at alternative
streams of revenue.
7Brett McFall
And McFall is really enjoying working with this
demographic. "This over sixty market is great to
work with. They're not afraid of hard work and
they are happy to follow a formula to get
results. We're seeing a lot of them doing really
well at what we teach.
8Brett McFall
They really understand the concept of starting up
something which you only have to create once and
which generates anything from 50 to 5000 extra
a week, depending on how much effort and time
they want to put into it.
9Brett McFall
One of his favourite students, a grandmother in
her late fifties, Judi Jaques makes anywhere from
9000 - 29000 a month and had no internet or
marketing experience previous to attending a
course.
10Brett McFall
"I just taught her how to find hot niche markets
and how to set up simple little websites that
give that market the product it's looking for -
especially ones that revolve around information.
It cost her very little and she outsourced the
majority of the work."
11Brett McFall
McFall says Judis results are exceptional, but
some people just learn how to increase their
revenue by around 50 -100 a week and this helps
them significantly to go from struggling to
comfortable in retirement.
12Brett McFall
"That extra 100 a week can mean groceries are
covered and super will cover the rest. It's so
rewarding being able to help them find that
security."
13Brett McFall
McFall, author of How to make money while you
sleep has shared the stage with the likes of
Donald Trump, Richard Branson and Tony Robbins.
These renowned international business speakers
often use him as their 'internet guy' as he went
from earning 35,000 a year to over 500,000 when
he figured out the ins and outs of online
marketing.
14Brett McFall
Not bad for a business where he sets something up
once and leaves it to generate profit.
15Brett McFall
"I'm so pleased we're seeing this increase in
older people realising the internet is a really
low-risk way to make money. I've been
speaking about this for a long time but
previously people thought internet marketing just
sounded like a scam.
16Brett McFall
It's certainly not a get-rich-quick scheme where
you don't have to do anything. It does take some
work, but the rewards can be huge and can reduce
financial worries in retirement significantly."
