  • Panic attack is a commonly used phrase by every
    dramatic teenager. While we use this word very
    often, most of us dont understand the
    seriousness of this word and everything that
    comes with it.

  • It is basically the sudden urge of anxiety or
    overwhelming stress /fear. You start to
    hyperventilate, have trouble breathing and your
    heart starts pounding simultaneously.

  • If panic attacks are not treated properly, they
    can lead to panic disorders and other problems.

  • Here are a few symptoms of panic attacks

  • Shortness of breath or hyperventilation
  • Heart palpitation or a racing heart
  • Chest pain or discomfort
  • Trembling or shaking
  • A feeling of choking
  • Sweating, nausea, feeling dizzy/light headed
  • Numbness or tingling sensations
  • Hot or cold flashes

  • With the kind of lifestyles we lead today, more
    and more of us are likely to develop panic
    disorders. Here are a few things you can do in
    order to avoid panic attacks and disorders

  • You should read up on anxiety, panic etc. so you
    will know that what youre feeling is normal and
    that youre not going crazy.

  • Avoid smoking and caffeine
  • For those who are susceptible to panic attacks,
    smoking and caffeine can provoke these.

  • In order to reduce the anxiety you face, try
    making exercise an important part of your plan.

  • Talking about your problems is a very good way of
    cooling down before you have panic attacks.
    Refrain from keeping all your emotions locked up
    inside of you.

  • You can incorporate yoga/meditation in your daily
    routine as it a great way to avoid stress and
    anxiety. They promote relaxation and make you
    feel more joyful.
