Bill of Quantities serves as a basis of detailed
breakdown of work scope, quantity and cost of
labour and  materials. In the BOQ this will the
basis of contract agreement of the Client and the
Contractor's work description/ scope.

FUNCTIONS OF BOQ
Post- Contract BoQ assist in the valuing of
progress payment and variation works. During
post-contract stage BoQ will facilitate variation
orders management by providing a sound, common
basis for the valuation and assessment of
variations. The function of a BoQ can further be
expanded in enabling the creation of price
database which proof to be useful for future
estimating and can be interrogated as a financial
management tools in construction.
Pre-contract BoQ assist contractor in the
formulation of their tender.

BOQ SERVES AS
A breakdown of the tendered price, with no
contractual status, but providing information for
the selection from tenderers. An estimate
measure of the work for the tendered price, to be
used to arrive at a revised contract price once
the actual quantities of work carried out are
measured. A schedule of rates as the contract
basis for valuing variations in the work. A
basis for measure of the value of work competed
for interim payments.

Starting with sales enquiry, nfra gives you an
option to add all the information regarding the
enquiry, like project name(for which enquiry is
being done), employee who generated the enquiry,
place, project cost and many more. This
information when added can also serve as
reference for future.

The sales enquiry window also provides a tab to
add the BOQ. One can enter the BOQ manually,
import it, Cut, copy and paste BoQ data between
concurrently loaded projects or can even use an
existing one. This BOQ consists of all the
items required for the completion of project
along with their detailed descriptions, quantity,
make, origin and remarks

Sales quotation provides you with the total
amount and their division, like material cost,
overhead charges, etc. This also allows you to
import BOQ within the this quotation so that one
can get more detailed description of quotation by
matching the charges against the items mentioned
in BOQ with their quantities. If the sales
quotation can not be provided against the enquiry
made, then the reason for the same is also
provided with remarks for any further enquiry.

NFRA
Once the quotation is accepted by the client, a
sales order is generated. This sales order is
confirmation that is sent to the client, it
consist of the client date along with the
expected and actual dates of receiving LOI and
work order. The sales order also has an option
to add any more financial records that would have
affected the cost, so that a detailed description
of quotation is maintained without any data loss.
Any attachment that can be significant towards
the sale can also be uploaded and maintained
simultaneously.

• The BOQ of any project can be maintained very
  easily through the above explained process. nFra
