Title: Paul Zarda Carries A Strong Professional Background
1Paul Zarda Carries A Strong Professional
Background
2Paul Zarda is a highly educated professional with
expertise in the area of Mechanical Computer
Aided Engineering (MCAE) and Knowledge Based
Engineering (KBE). He has chaired a Mechanical
Design benchmarking team at the local and
corporate level. He was a program Manager for
DARPAs MADE and RaDEO program in Knowledge-based
Engineering for which he was Program Manager.
3Owing to his skills and expertise, Paul Zarda has
offered over 20 CES courses over the last 19
years at Martin (very few individuals, if any,
have offered this many courses). These courses
have covered Introductory and Advanced Finite
Element Modeling, Structural Optimization,
Solid's Modeling, Introduction into the Finite
Element Method, Introductory and Advanced NASTRAN
Analysis, Finite Element/Finite Difference
Thermal Analysis, IBM-PC Structural Analysis,
NASTRAN Thermal Analysis, and Advanced Dynamic
Analysis.
4Dr. Zarda received his Ph.D. in Engineering
Mechanics from Columbia University in 1974. He
was an Assistant Professor in Engineering Science
at Lafayette College in Easton, Pa. from 1974
through 1976. He was a research analyst at the
David Taylor Naval Research and Development
Center from 1976 through 1978 concentrating in
the area of finite element modeling of acoustical
fluid/structure interaction problems. He joined
Westinghouse in 1978 where was a Senior Engineer
in the design and analysis of nuclear steam
generators. He joined Lockheed Martin in 1980.
5Paul Zarda has successfully authored a white
paper and a follow-on proposal that won the 3.4
Million DARPA MADE/RaDEO program. He received a
letter of commendation for that proposal win. He
was Program Manager of the RaDEO Program, which
received a very successful review by DARPA and
WPAFB. This program has been on budget and on
schedule. He has been recognized for these many
accomplishments.
