Rekindle The Art Of Smart

Description:

PPT sharing on men’s boating blazers that are a curiously popular slightly retro form of clothing. All colleges at Oxford and Cambridge have their own blazers worn by members of rowing, cricket and rugby clubs. Many club blazers are seen as quite eccentric with an odd mix of clashing colours but this makes club members stand out more easily. – PowerPoint PPT presentation

  • Its a curious fact that most of us enjoy
dressing differently for smart occasions. This is
most typically seen at weddings where men and
women you ordinarily see in jeans and t-shirt
turn up looking like someone at a Jane Austin
    Ball.
  • When we make this effort we also often receive
flattering comments. Such as being told they
never thought it possible to look so handsome and
    suave.
  • If you attend one of the summer operas at
Glyndebourne youll find all the men in black tie
and formal dinner suits. This is despite the fact
that there is no written dress code other than
men should wear a jacket and tie.

3
  • But the curious point is that its all part of
the enjoyment to make the extra effort. The same
applies at the Royal Henley Regatta Week. Most
    men will wear blazers.
  • Often these blazers are worn by portly
middle-aged men that once rowed for their school
or University College. They are the actual blazer
they once wore all those days ago.
  • And the results can be comical as those fit slim
rowers have become fat-bellied denizens of the
business world with an obvious liking to lunch.
Theres very little chance of any of the buttons
    being engaged.
  • But you dont have to be by the riverside to wear
mens boating blazer as they are a colourful
    edition to any wardrobe.
  • Many things in life dont get improved upon and
the classic blazer is such an example of this
fact. They also benefit from coming in every
colour and multiple mixes. The Oxbridge and
Cambridge colleges all have very different
    blazers.

4
  • Many of them look like they have been inspired by
designers high on substance abuse. Colours that
you may never thought could go together are
    confirmed as being true.
  • The MCC is another club with unusual coloured
blazers and tie known as bacon and eggs. In many
ways a club blazer can be perceived as an
important indication of belonging. But in the
commercial world its not necessary to buy one
    connected with clubs.
  • It is possible to design your own blazer, perhaps
incorporating some favourite aspect of your life.
And then the other way to bag a rare one is to
search through retro and vintage clothing shops.
  • Charity shops can also be a good way to find
unusual and vintage clothing including some old
blazers. The early part of the second half of the
last century saw blazers more popular with men
than any time before or since.

5
  • Many were made by renowned clothing labels and if
you have an interest in retro clothing then
stopping off at a charity shop selling mens
clothing means its always worth a look.
  • Heavily striped blazers are evocative of the
Traditional Jazz era of the 1930s and 40s. But
even today such bands still exist and you can bet
there will be at least one member wearing one.
